I'm feeling like an independent woman lately. Not the Beyonce-I'm-gonna-kick-y'alls-asses-and-pay-my-bills-at-the-same-time kind...more like the one who can't rely on anyone but myself. Jeez, I can hardly feed myself properly let alone pay my bills (from a technical point of view). Anyhoo, my classmates seem so fickle. Always doing things for selfish benefits. I miss the real friendships. People you can tell your insecurities and confide in. People who don't judge you.
I have met my nemesis. And he's one fucking asshole. Now if only I can avoid him for 4 years.
So I recently got booted off the Western webmail service because I no longer go to the school. Even as an alumni we can't hold accounts. Somehow I feel saddened because it's like losing all of this data or letters from the past 4 years. I feel officially cut-off from my former life. In many ways I miss good old snail mail. Lost letters forever...if you didn't notice I have very pack-rat tendencies.
Here's a pet peeve. People who can't remember how to spell my name. Ok I'll take it easy on those who have heard my name and assume that it's spelled a certain way. Then there're all those idiots who have seen my name actually printed on paper, and transfer it onto something else...meanwhile in that transit of 2 seconds, the spelling of it gets lost into thin air. Annoying. It's probably a good thing that my e-mail address only has my first initial in it, otherwise I wouldn't receive a majority of the e-mails that I need. Maybe I should have used my full name in my address. Then only the really privileged people who are smart enough to spell it right could contact me.
I ran into that Dominion lady again. I didn't realize it was her until....I was about to have my groceries rung through the scanner and there was one item left from the customer before me. To move things along, I took the food separator--that plastic triangular stick that divides customers' purchases--and put it behind my food on the conveyor belt. Boy did I do something wrong. The cashier picked up the divider, put it back behind in the last item of the lady before me, then rang it in. Oh and she gave me a stern look too. WTF!!! I tried to be courteous by doing her a favour and she pulls that crap on me. That's when I realized that it was the same customer service lady that gave me attitude last time. Oh man. Why am I always in a rush when this stuff happens to me? Anyways, people like her who lack common sense I just don't have time for. She knew where exactly our items were separated. But she just had to put it back. I'm going to be on the look-out for this woman next time I shop there. Even if there are 5 more people in another line, I will not go to hers. I've had enough.
